For the past few years, I’ve envisioned creating a tarot deck infused with deep symbolism, and Norse mythology felt like the perfect foundation. This deck is a personal passion project, one that I’ve been developing in my free time, carefully considering each illustration’s meaning and connection to the ancient stories that inspire it. For now at least, I’m calling this deck the Olensdóttir Tarot, though that is subject to change. Some of those cards can be seen below.
For the Wildwood Path
Each sculpture I create is a union of history, nature, and legend— bone, wood, clay, leather, stone, and organic forms brought together with meaning, care, and intention. Every material is ethically gathered and honored, then transformed through sculptural technique into a vessel that feels both timeless and newly born. Myth, story, and intuition guide the work. From the horned guardians of Norse seiðr, to the Celtic echoes of the druidic wildwood, the mystery of the Welsh derwydd, and the vision of the taibhsear of the Scottish Highlands, these sculptures are shaped as relics of memory — fragments of story made tangible. Some take form as altar companions and ritual objects; others stand as art pieces that carry the resonance of ancient beliefs. At their heart, these are relics of myth and memory: one-of-a-kind creations meant to evoke wonder, reverence, and the sense of standing at a threshold between worlds. While earlier works have all found their homes, select new pieces are available for acquisition, with commission opportunities open for those seeking a sculpture woven uniquely for their own path.
